At Access 2 Perspectives, we are constantly exploring tools that truly empower researchers. The Lens is a trusted research and innovation tool that we happily recommend to any purpose-driven researcher
The Lens is a global open platform that integrates scholarly literature and patent data to empower researchers, institutions, and R&D teams. It extends beyond search, offering a unified environment in which scholarly works and patents align to stimulate discovery and collaborative opportunities. It empowers researchers and institutions to discover, analyse, manage, and share knowledge.
By making knowledge more accessible, connected, and analyzable, it empowers users to explore how ideas move from discovery to application, and how research can drive meaningful change across disciplines and industries.

The Lens, at its core, aggregates metadata and full text, combining unique content sets (scholarly works, patents, and biological sequences) with management tools as a core offering. This base supports the four primary functions of the Lens, which are to discover, analyse, manage, and share knowledge.
All of the software that comprises the Lens platform itself is Open Source and free to use.
With the Lens, you can monitor retraction use cases.
- Monitor whether your papers cite papers (your references) that have been retracted
- Monitor whether your patents cite papers that have been retracted
- Institutions monitor in aggregate if authors at their institute have papers cited.
