Sustainable Open [Research] Infrastructure

For Access 2 Perspectives, we operate open scholarly communication infrastructure supporting AfricArXiv and our other research dissemination and consultation services. Our systems are designed to ensure resilience, interoperability, and long-term sustainability of open science outputs across global research communities.

Our repository infrastructure is implemented in collaboration with the Spanish-Mexican service provider eScire, a technical partner specialized in DSpace and Dataverse systems, ensuring reliable functionality, interoperability, and standards compliance across research data platforms.

Our infrastructure is hosted in Germany by WindCloud, whose carbon-negative datacenter combines wind-powered energy with algae-based carbon capture technology, aligning digital infrastructure with environmental sustainability principles. This partnership ensures that our digital research infrastructure is not only reliable and scalable, but also aligned with environmental sustainability principles.

We warmly welcome additional collaboration partners across technical, institutional, preservation, and research domains. If you know of a suitable organisation, or would like to suggest your own institution as a collaboration partner, please contact us at info@access2perspectives.org.
