Are you a creative web designer with a passion for meaningful impact? Do you care deeply about user experience and the values behind the services you help communicate? We’re looking for a purpose-driven professional to redesign the website and user experience for Access 2 Perspectives — an organization reshaping scholarly communication toward openness, equity, and global knowledge sharing.
About the Project
This is a temporary contract-based role focused on redesigning the Access 2 Perspectives website and streamlining its user experience. You will collaborate with our core team to bring our digital presence in line with our core values, including equity, transparency, sustainability, and accessibility in Science Communication and Research Management.
We envision a clean, engaging, and intuitive website that reflects our global perspective and supports our mission to empower researchers and institutions in adopting globally inclusive open science practices.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct a UX review and audit of the current website
- Propose and implement a new website structure and visual design
- Ensure the redesign aligns with our value system and user needs
- Improve accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and navigation
- Optimize the website for engagement, readability, and outreach
- Collaborate closely with our team for feedback and refinement
You Have
- Experience in web design and UX (especially WordPress or similar CMS)
- A portfolio of purposeful, values-driven projects
- A basic understanding of science communication and/or ethical marketing
- Sensitivity to inclusive design principles and international audiences
- The ability to work independently and iteratively within a small team
- A genuine interest in open science, sustainability, or global development is a big plus!
