I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to our Open Science workshop trainer, Ms HAVEMANN, for her valuable contribution to this event. Her expertise and dedication have made this workshop a great success and provided us with valuable insights and knowledge on Open Science.
Obviously, I have learned a great deal, and I hope the other participants have as well. Personally, I appreciate the existence of the africarxiv.org platform, which makes African research more discoverable.
I particularly liked the advice on translating abstracts into local languages to facilitate research dissemination to local communities. As a librarian responsible for supporting researchers and students at my institution, I plan to implement all of these tips and tricks. If needed, I will not hesitate to seek advice from Ms. Jo HAVEMANN and consider arranging training sessions for our local university staff.
I would also like to extend my gratitude to the UbuntuNet Alliance for organizing this workshop and for inviting a university from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), a new member of the East African Community (EAC). The opportunity to participate in this workshop has been invaluable, and I appreciate the efforts made by the UbuntuNet Alliance to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing in the region.
Once again, thank you to the trainer, the UbuntuNet Alliance, and all those involved in making this workshop a success. I look forward to applying the knowledge gained and continuing to contribute to the advancement of open science in my institution and beyond.
